On the morning of 23 May 2025, the Vườn Sala Charity Fund presented scholarships to students of Trường THCS và THPT Mỹ Bình (lower and upper secondary school; Ấp 4, xã Mỹ Bình, huyện Đức Huệ, tỉnh Long An) at the close of the 2024 – 2025 school year, during the closing and gratitude ceremony – coming of age for grade 12 students.

Venerable Thích Tánh Mẫn (founder and director of the Vườn Sala Charity Fund) presented the gifts to the students on behalf of the Fund.

After the gifts were handed out, on behalf of the school's Board of Management, Principal Lê Văn Lai thanked the Vườn Sala Charity Fund for the heartfelt kindness it has shown the students. This is the second time the Fund has come to the school to present scholarships. They mean not only material support but also a source of encouragement for the students. With this care, the school hopes the students will grow ever more diligent, well-behaved and successful in their studies.

At the ceremony, Venerable Thích Tánh Mẫn shared these words with the students:

“Talented and virtuous people are the vital force of the nation. The word ‘hiền tài’ contains two very important qualities: virtue and intelligence. An intelligent person without virtue is a danger to the country; a virtuous person without intelligence makes it hard for the country to be stable and to develop. In the new era of our country – an era of rising, of striving for development and civilisation.
For a country to be civilised, society must be civilised; for society to be civilised, every individual must be civilised. So you, the future of the country, must be civilised people, civilised already while you are still at school. Show yourselves to be civilised in your conduct, your words and your actions towards your classmates, your schoolmates and people in society.
That is also your deepest gratitude to your parents and your teachers.
In closing, I respectfully wish the leaders of the local authorities at all levels, the principal, the Board of Management and the teachers of the school, and all the students a meaningful and joyful closing day! To the grade 12 students: may you step onto a new stage of the road, towards a new, bright and beautiful future.”
